Shane D est un dj, producteur et remixeur base a Durban en Afrique du Sud. Il touche a la musique à l'age de 9 ans quand son frère reçoit un synthétiseur Casio.

Très influencé par son père qui était bassiste dans un groupe dans les années 70, Shane devient le plus jeune dj des clubs du pays a l'age de 16 ans.
il séchait fréquemment les cours avec son frère pour aller acheter des vinyls et au tout départ s'entraînait a mixer avec une vieille chaîne hifi et un lecteur de cassettes.

En 2008, Shane est apparu sur la scène house mondiale en tant que producteur et c'est rapidement distingué en signant des titres ou des remixs pour des labels prestigieux comme SoulHeat, Soulfuric ou 2Delicious. Il collabore ou retravaille des artistes comme John "Julius" Knight, Roland Clark, Luis Radio, Lucius Lowe, The Rawsoul Ochestra, Olga Wozniak, The Doobie Brothers ou encore JedSet entres autres.
